To answer your question, the picture on the right hand side of my banner is a dresser size "mannequin" that I've layered a bunch of my jewelry on. I've got bling everywhere! I was forced to take home ec. but I don't really remember anything from it except for making the ugliest drawstring bag ever! I still sew everything by hand! What a fun class and a fun idea. And I personally think the mess of fabrics and threads and things is half the fun of sewing!Handi Dandi Mandihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03554698882699459723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4220955503832755129.post-91378523373584485842008-03-29T13:13:00.000-07:002008-03-29T13:13:00.000-07:00How fun! It's all I really need most of the time.<BR/>I took a quilting class recently, and though it was adults, we experimented with all kinds of things--like organza filled with thread and leaves then coated with glue to make it stiff. We hand-stitched and embroidered. It's fun to try new techniques. I just bought the new 'Good Things for Kids' magazine, and one project took simple kid's drawings and made them into stuffies using fun fabrics like recycled suiting. I like that. I have a pattern linked on my neckties blog where you can make a snake from a necktie--that would be a fun kid's project.woof nannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10585916446298818033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4220955503832755129.post-12678749133985126882008-03-29T09:13:00.000-07:002008-03-29T09:13:00.000-07:00Are you still sewing on that machine?
