Awarded at last!

I am leaping for joy because I have been awarded. I feel so honored to have received this humble award from Lola ...again! Not, again I've received this award from Lola, but Lola.. again! has awarded me.
Well, she hasn't awarded me before, it was just Lola...again giving the award to me.

Having this award in hand, I would like to first thank all the little people who have been with me all along the way. Flickr photo by Kewpee
Without your support I would not have been able to effectively rise above the everyday lowly jobs in order to completely submerge myself into this new world, of "blogland".
I'd like to also thank,
my daughter Mikey, for teaching me what a computer is.
To my husband for watching all the late night TV so that I can sit for hours at this computer.

To my daughter Chelsea, for being wealthy enough to purchase her own hand held computer so that I can use this one.
To my Mom for always reading my blog

and to my Dad who still doesn't understand it!

To Mr. 7-Eleven man for always having a fresh pot of coffee on,

and
to ALL of you who stop by to read this.....thank you, thank you, thank you......

So, thank you Lola... again for giving me this award!
And now in order for this nonsense to continue...I nominate the following:
A Whimsical Bohemian
1.The winner can put the logo on their blog.
2. Link to the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs you've nominated.
6. Write an acceptance speech in the style of the Academy Awards, thanking every body's mother, father, sister, brother, aunties and uncles and the kitchen staff at your favorite restaurant!

Pink Charms

Think Pink

I crafted these charms to send to Amber Dawn.
She is hosting the Think Pink Charm Exchange.

Amber will be creating a bracelet with the charms sent in for the swap for another great item to be gifted in the Pink Artist drawing beginning August 1 and ending on October 15, 2008.

The "ART DOLL", Monica collectively created with many other artists is to die for and the other gifts are defiantly worth the win! Make sure to make a donation by clicking HERE. All the proceeds are going to the Susan G Komen Foundation for breast cancer prevention.

I have had way too many friends touched by this disease over the last few years!

Male or female breast cancer has no boundries!

I began a second set of charms, but I'm just not too sure about them yet.

These seem to need another element added or left in a collective bouquet.

They may have to go into a new piece of art...next week!

Page 64

WHOO HOO
This came in the mail today.
And THIS is what is inside!
Yep, that's me!
Hubbie along with the two girls helped with this.
Proof is in the collar. So I told him I'd show everyone.

So, as I pull out the magazine to page 64...yep you heard me page 64.
I also pull out my magnifying glass to show hubbie's name (second billing heehee) but none the less his name!
Can you tell this is the first time I've been published?

Thank you, Somerset Studio!

Camp

I just returned home from a great extended weekend, to race off and teach
"Summer Fashion Camp".Do you know what it's like to attempt to teach 22, 6 to 12 year old kids, how to sew for the first time on a hot 104 degree summer day?

Did I hear you say," No" ?

Well, how should I describe it...............hummm...........
Like herding cats!
Cats that can speak and say things like, "Terisa my machine broke. Terisa the thread came undone. There is a rats nest of thread in here. Terisa where's the safety pins? Why do the pins stick to this red thing? Terisa, why is this a tomato? Terisa the scissors won't cut this wire (don't ask). Look I stuck all these pins into the skin of my hand. Terisa, will you do mine next?"
Well, you get the picture.
Yesterday was dedicated to inspiration boards and label designs.
Today we attempted skirts and tote bags.
I haven't a clue what we'll be doing tomorrow!
And why are pin cushions made to look like a tomato with a strawberry hanging off of it?

Send answers quickly...class is over on Friday!

4th of July

Have a Happy and Safe
4th of July weekend.

I'm off to Los Angels for a weekend wedding.
A great guy named Ford, found a great gal named Sam.

Since, I FINALLY finished the "yucky" cushions, I didn't do anything creative this week.

So, I though I'd share another wonderful artist with you.
This is Keri's art, titled Wall Dancers.

I found her on Etsy. She just started keeping a blog which I am happy about.

It's so fun to watch the creative life process of fellow artists.

Check out her artwork and blog. Have a great weekend, I know I'm going too!
