Artist: Stefania Morgante

I am totally in love with the art of  Stefania Morgante.

I first became aware of her when she donated an amazing piece of jewelry (actually art) for the
RED Party a few years back.

Soon thereafter became aware of her aiblity to capture pure character humor in her sketch work.
She seems to be able to interject a liveliness into her figures in a way that you don't see often.

Her latest venture is about to launch and you can get a sneak peek if you go here.
Add your name and you will receive a free download of the cutest paper doll and accessories.

 I framed mine!

HOPEFUL

I have officially moved to a new house.
A big box here, a big box there.
All I seem to do is shift "stuff" from one room to another.
I wish my stuff was all like little charms that you could wear around your wrist.

Always with you and all the attached emotional memories condensed into a tiny little unit.
No more boxes, bins or storage.

But since my life is NOT condensed into any assemblance and I can not find any room to attempt to be creative,
I have dedicated this post to other creative people since I've got nothin' to show!

This is the charm bracelet that Amber Dawn put together from her Storybook charm swap for the RED party.

It took place months ago but the cute charms are ageless!

Amber is also hosting a "one word challenge" right now.
Its all charm related.

My one word right now that would hold significance for me would be,
declutter,
no unboxed,
no rested,
no hopeful....
yep HOPEFUL.

RED Party 2010: Amber Dawn's charm bracelet

I just returned from the RED Party in Hollywood.
It was great.
I'll get pictures up soon, but I wanted to show you what the amazing Amber Dawn hosted and created for the auction first.
This "storybook" themed charm bracelet.
How cute is this?
It was one of a handful of items to receive multiple bids. I spoke with the winning bidder. The second she won it she literally was the first at the checkout stand.
I'll post soon who all participated in charm making soon.
I am off to Texas now.

RED Party 2010

I'm off to Hollywood!
Going to the RED Party.
Meet me at the there this Saturday.

Besides cloaking Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in RED, rolling out the RED carpet, lining the silent auction tables with RED hot items and making RED hot money to fund the arts for under privileged children I also need some leads on a great yarn shop in the Hollywood/Burbank area.
Anyone know of any?
I want something like these by Wearables OK on etsy.

One World One Heart

It's that time of the year again.
A time to spend every waking hour, for the next 3 weeks on a magic carpet ride to every blog participating in
Lisa was ingenious coming up with this great idea of reaching out and visiting fellow artisans.
This is the time of the year my kids hate me for dominating the computer.
While I expand my visual horizons I am stunting there ability to Facebook!
I love it!
In the 3 years I have participated, I have found so many friends across the world and have have the opportunity to meet many in person.
And yes, I have even spent time with the happy, giggly, Whimsical Bohemian herself.
So here you go.
You know the drill.
Comment and you're entered.
If you need to e-mail, I will add you to the mix.
The drawing will be held on February 15.

The theme this year is Storybook.
If you head over to Amber's site and sign up. She has all the rules set forth for the swap.
More fun stuff and artistic opportunities will be coming up for this event that raises funds to give under privileged children the opportunity to experience the arts.

Artists' Emporium

Have you seen this?

is offering original handmade art from some of my favorite artists like

Pat Berryhill

and Pat Winter to name a few.

When you purchase one of the art pieces you are helping to
"exert the power of art for good".
quote: Somerset
A portion of your purchase goes to one of a selected list of charities
So come on...
Do it for the kids!
