In my mind I look like this.
So then why does the tag say this?

There are just some words that should NEVER be abbreviated!

OK, I'm laughing my own L ASS off here! I look like that too, in my head. I always get a rude shock if I look in the mirror too closely.

Still laughing...

Hi Kiddo,

Had to drop by again. Thanks for stopping by last night. In answer to your question. I agree the floats are always amazing. The short answer is that all the floats are saved from year to year They are made of a kind of cheese cloth (and here it's double thickness) that has been soaked in a water cement mixture. There are quite a few floats in this year's parade that were reused. The Egyption bardge was a Viking long boat last year. The huge Harlequin has been reused for 3 or4 years. They just repaint the float to match the theme for that year :) Do you remember hearing stories about "Make do" during the depression. Well this whole country has had to perfect that for generations. It is truly amazing and often artistic the way things we are sure are unuseable get repaired, reused, or readapted!! Mexico has been the masters of "altered art" for hundreds of years. I am constantly amazed and humbled at the ability of my Mexican neighbors' to truly turn a sow's ear into a silk purse!!

Stop by again, and thank you now that you have gotten me thinking about some of these cultural differences I think I'll do a few post about them.

That is hysterical....I mean the way you presented it....not necessarily in seeing it on a tag. Yet mine would no doubt say [size 'nothing can cover that' ASS!] LOL!

You just crack me up girl!!!

I'm just now seeing your blog and the tag is still funny. I love it when I'm all alone and out of the blue can find a huge laugh out loud blog like this one. I'm in tears from reading all the comments before me.

MArty told me to have a look, I came, and I sort of hope I laughed some of my version of the L ASS off!

Too funny! Marty sent me, and said "You simply must click and scroll to her February 28, 2009, blog. Too funny. But scroll slowly....you'll enjoy the journey!"

She was TOO RIGHT! This post is hilarious, as are all the comments! Awesome blog! Cheers!
