National Sewing Month

There are a few things I have decided to not discuss on this blog because this is my
"Happy Place".
One is food recipes and the other is politics or political leaders.
But now I must break one of my rules.
Way to go President Regan!

The observance of National Sewing Month began in 1982 with a proclamation from President Ronald Reagan declaring September as National Sewing Month
“In recognition of the importance of home sewing to our Nation.”

Sewing.org is holding a contest.

You can see the details here

Now go fulfill your role of importance to our Nation!

Oh girl, you did dig up something special here. Sewing month guess explains why I've not been able to leave that sewing machine for weeks. It just has taken hold of me in a big way. Very artsy photographing here too!
