Weddings, weddings and more weddings

There must be a lot of beautiful fingernails lately!
Because there seems to be a lot of diamonds being handed out!

It's been wedding after wedding this year.

I've altered wedding gowns that are a bit too big
and
I've altered ones that were much too small!

I've designed and sewn gowns for friends of the bride, mother of the bride, flower girls, and bridal gowns.

I've made veils, shrugs, garters and fasinators.

Colors this season have ranged from crimson, brown and yellow, to teal, purple and amethyst.

Last weekend I went over to help Janet (my encourager) prepare flowers.

She had done such a great job.
All that was left for me was to add a few ribbons.

Today I did bouquets, boutonnieres, and a cake for a cute couple visiting the Napa Valley.

He was on leave from Iraq. They got married on the beautiful grounds of Aaron's Vineyard.

If you want to elope to the Napa Valley, Aaron's Vineyard is a beautiful place to have your ceremony.
The season is not over yet.
Brides are wonderful to work with.

It's just the occasional "mom-zilla" that can be challenging.
Just because you are paying for it moms....it is still your daughters wedding!

Disclaimer: With three daughters of my own, and this is what I do for a living, they will do what I say!

All I can say is Stunning...We used to live in Napa and I can just picture the picture perfect weddings there. Theres no place quite like it, but Louisiana is home! Love reading your blog. I leave there with serenity. Hugs, Mollye

Beautiful....just beautiful! Being the mother of the groom it is so hard to keep my mouth shut and be greatful that they let me do some of the small things. Always the grooms mother....never the mother of the bride! Keep up the beautiful work! Terri

all those flowers are so beautiful, they almost seem surreal ... I imagine working with brides would be a real pleasure more often than not. :)

You make me want to get married all over again! The first time was pretty uninspiring - cheapy Vegas chapel, hummed wedding march, and four friends. I think I'll keep the same guy though, just like you to make it MAGIC like you can!
