Mermaid Swap

Here is a sneak peak at the mermaid I'm creating for the Bella Enchanted swap.

My swap partner is Marilyn Butler.

Who by the way, was a runner up in the contest to name our house snail, Freddie Mercer.

I decided after attempting to work with paper for the last swap that I'd go back to what I'm comfortable with....FABRIC.

I'm just a textile kind of gal I guess.
It started small, but she has taken on a life of her own and has grown into quite a gal in many ways.

These are NOT auditioning for eyes!
She'll be back for her swimming debut after she arrives at Marilyn's.

OMG, just looking at the selection of fabrics and texture that you have chosen, not to mention the embellishments are so mermaid. I can't wait to see what you create. I love fabric, I love going in huge fabric shops and browsing through all kinds of material. I can't even thread a sewing machine, I am more comfortable with paper. But I can dream. I hope a lovely mermaid creative muse visits you with inspiration. Karen

Such a tease!! I want to see her!!
My gosh but you certainly have a talent with fabric...I have no idea what to do with it...but just the visual (the sneak peak so to say!!)
The fabric alone is delicious...I want to see her swim!!
Lucky girl who receives this!!
